"Tutto è iniziato quando il nonno negli anni 50 ha rilevato uno stabile sul mare a Torre Pedrera trasformandolo in una pensione a conduzione famigliare: tutti facevano qualcosa anche io e mi sorella Chiara abbiamo dato una mano ai nonni"
Era il decennio tra gli anni '50 e '60 e su tutta la costa romagnola stava scoppiando il turismo, quello di massa, quello "che si partiva tutti con la Fiat 600 per andare in riviera".
"La pensione nel tempo è diventata il collante della nostra famiglia: il motivo per lavorare insieme, avere problemi restando uniti, stancarci e sorridere insieme, fare famiglia. Il vero segreto di quell'attività, il gusto dell'ospitalità, nasceva però fuori dalle mura di quella pensione, in un lembo di terra che prima nonno e nonna insieme a papà e poi mio padre, fin quando ha vissuto, hanno coltivato per fornire la frutta e la verdura alla cucina di quella pensione a Torre Pedrera sul mare... E gli ospiti stavano bene, noi pure... E via così"
"It all started when in the 50s grandfather took over a building by the sea in Torre Pedrera promenade , transforming it into a family-run guesthouse: everyone did something working in the guesthouse even me and my sister Chiara gave a little help to the grandpas during summer"
It was the decade of the 1950s and 1960s and mass tourism was breaking out on the whole coast of Romagna, every family started with the Fiat 600 (a popular car in those years) to go to the Adriatic Rivier.
"Retirement over time has become a binding force for our family: the reason for being together, working together, getting tired and smiling together. The real secret of that activity, the taste of hospitality, was born out of the guesthouse, in a corner of land that first grandpas together with dad and then dad as long as he lived, they cultivated to provide fruit and vegetables to the kitchen of that guesthouse in Torre Pedrera ... "Da quasi due anni rimboccandoci le maniche e mettendoci anche l'anima, in quel pezzo di terra a Viserba, accanto a Rimini, ci lavoriamo io e mia sorella perchè il babbo purtroppo non c'è più" . Ascoltando le parole di Silvia rifletto. Percepisco quanto l'amore ci leghi maggiormente quando i cari purtroppo non ci sono più e credo che quella terra le abbia come "saldate" e solo la terra lo poteva fare proprio perchè è nella sua natura creare; sembra uno scioglilingua, è vero, ma intendo dire che sono convinto di come continuare a lavorarla sia stato un modo per onorare, ricordare, trasformare un sentimento, un pensiero, in un continuo gesto d'amore che desse vita. "La nostra pensione di famiglia è ormai chiusa quindi coltivare quella terra per me e mia sorella è come continuare a fare vivere un pò tutto, anche quello che certamente non può finire seppur non si veda più. E poi ci piace, perchè con il babbo siamo sempre state in campo fin da piccole". E quando un bambino inizia a giocare con i genitori a quello che potrebbe diventare un mestiere, è molto facile che lo diventi per passione...
"For almost two years, rolling up our sleeves and putting our soul into it, in that piece of land based in Viserba close to Rimini city, we are working on it because unfotunately in 2017 dad passed away". Listening to Chiara's words, I reflect. I perceive how much for them it is worth the fact that if the loved ones go away, however, the earth remains a firm point welding us to each other because she is life and I know that she seems a tongue twister but instead I am convinced that what it's happened to Silvia and Chiara is a way to honor, remember, transform a feeling, a thought, into a continuous gesture of love. "Our family guesthouse is now closed and so going on to cultivate our land is a bit like continuing to hold a little bit everything alive and which certainly cannot end as well, even if you don't see those people or things anymore. And then we like it, because with dad we have always been on the field from an early age "And when a child starts playing with parents the game which could become his future job, it's very easy that game will become his passional work"
"Io ho 35 anni mentre Chiara ne ha 28, siamo ancora nella fase in cui impariamo molto, provando, correggendo, ma quello che vogliamo assolutamente fare e continuare a mettere in pratica è un'agricoltura sana che segua principi adottati nel rispetto per il terreno e per chi consumerà i nostri prodotti; non serve una certificazione per essere un coltivatore biologico perchè basta un rapporto aperto con i clienti che possono, come a volte fanno i nostri, venire quì e stare con noi nei campi toccando con mano quello che facciamo e come lo facciamo: la loro fiducia e i loro apprezzamenti contano più di qualsiasi certificazione o bollino verde che invece non si basano su un rapporto personale"

Nel gennaio del 2018 ho iniziato a scrivere e quindi poi ho prodotto e realizzato in solitaria con le mie tecnologie, un documentario sulle storie e differenti percorsi di vita di 7 donne rurali e quello che ho imparato è che nella donna risiede atavicamente forse anche ancestralmente , non so, qualcosa che ancora oggi rimane in lei e che significa una capacità più naturale e normale di sapere dialogare con il terreno proprio come accade tra Silvia, Chiara e il loro ettaro e mezzo di terra. "Noi nel prossimo futuro abbiamo intenzione di tenere delle api per le quali stiamo già pensando all'inserimento di fiori che le supportino anche nei mesi estivi, come la Facelia. Il progetto è quello di arrivare ad ottenere insieme ai nostri alberi una sorta di piccolo ecosistema che le aiuti per tutto l'anno; abbiamo anche tanta voglia di fare progetti come offrire esperienze tattili ed educative agli alunni delle scuole, ci serve fare quei progetti siamo piene di energia, di idee e non ci stancheremo"
In January 2018 I started writing and then then I produced and made solo thanks to my video gear, a documentary on the stories and different paths of life of 7 rural women which work the soil on solo. I searched and then spoke with many of them on the phone, even with all those who in the end have not been part of my documentary and what I learned is that in the woman it resides atavically perhaps even ancestral, I don't know, but in the women there is something even today that remains and that means a more natural and normal ability to know how to dialogue with the land just as happens between Silvia, Chiara and their hectare and a half of soil."In the near future we will come to have bees for which we are already thinking about the insertion of flowers that support them even in the summer months, such as the Facelia flower. In future we would like to get together new flowers with our fruits trees obtaining a sort of small ecosystem that helps bees all year long: we also want to achieve projects like offering tactile and educational experiences to school pupils, we need to make those projects because we are full of energy, ideas and we will not get tired "
E forse non saranno Silvia e Chiara, fisicamente, ad andare molto lontano dalla loro terra a Viserba ma sono sicuro che invece molta strada la faranno le loro idee, i loro sorrisi, la maniera che hanno di "sentire" il terreno e tutte le colture che creano; questo si, i loro alimenti di strada ne faranno tanta io non ho minimamente dubbi, come secondo me, non ne avrebbe avuti nemmeno il loro babbo.
And maybe it will not be Silvia and Chiara, physically, to go very far from their land in Viserba city but I'm sure that their ideas, their smiles, the relationship they feel with their land will go very far, like the foods they create that will run a very long way. I have no doubts: and in my opinion even their dad would have had no doubts.
