L'amico Pasquale si ricorda di suo padre, ma anche suo nonno, che consumava lupini secchi, fichi secchi e carrube durante il lavoro nei campi e mi dice "Nonno mi diceva che i lupini , che sono un legume, diventano il carburante per il corpo mentre gli zuccheri del fico e del carrube servivano a dare tono e a contrastare la fatica"

"Il lupino serviva anche aiutare la pelle che a risolvere i problemi dovuti a bruciature o scottature; mi ricordo che soprattutto mio nonno lo usava spesso per disinfettare la pelle in caso di eczemi facendo bollire i lupini in acqua che poi usava sulla pelle; anche quando io ero neonato mia madre usava pulirmi con un cataplasma di lupino per la crosta lattea" Dopo avere sentito queste parole io stesso ho voluto ascoltare il consiglio di Pasquale perchè da sempre soffro di un leggero eczema nella zona dei gomiti e devo confessare che su di me ha funzionato!
